Ear Piercing.

As the mean mommy that I am, I took Giovanna to get her ears pierced. It was soooo sad. She cried for the longest time and I felt really guilty for causing her unecessary pain. It does look really cute though.

Trick or Treat.

Ok, I know this one is way past due, but here it is. Aiden went trick or treating this past Halloween and he had a whole lot of fun. We had a little glitch with the costume (which was supposed to be a lion) but my brother in law rescued us with an old costume from my nephew. We was a knight. The first house we went into, Aiden went right in. The other houses we stopped by he did what he was supposed to and got a whole lot of candy, which are still stashed all over the house. I am trying to get rid of it, because they are oh so tempting.

Bolt in 3D.

So, we decided to attempt to bring Aiden to the movie theater again (the first attempt didn't work so well), and he had a blast. We brought him to see Bolt in 3D and surprise, surprise...he even wore the glasses for almost the whole movie. It was the cutest thing ever. Giovanna did her part and slept he whole time.

Giovanna's Blessing

Last sunday was Giovanna's blessing and she behaved like a champ. Her daddy did a fantastic job and was not interrupted once by Giovanna. She was half asleep the whole time. We found the cutest dress for the special occasion, but the bonnet was huge, so she wasn't able to wear it. I put a bow on her instead. After the blessing we went home and had a simple brunch. It was a good day.

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year, and even though it was a lot of work it was also a lot of fun. We had our in laws over, my brother in law and his kids and my cousin and her family. The food was awesome and my weight watchers was totally out the window that day. I still got on the elliptical, but I don't think it helped all that much...I ate a whole lot that day.

It's a party for Paris and Sydney at the Zoo.

Our nieces Paris and Sydney had their b-day party at the Fort Worth Zoo and Aiden really enjoyed our trip out there. Aiden followed his great aunt Gayle wherever she went and when she wasn't within his sight he freaked out. It was very sweet. We got a chance to go around the zoo before the actual party and that was really neat. Giovanna slept the whole time we were there.

Gingerbread House

We decided to try to build a gingerbread house with Aiden for family home evening. Needless to say the child had a blast. He actually did really good as far as decorating the house goes, but we had a hard time keeping him away from the frosting. He wanted to eat the frosting I had put on the house. We made a huge mess on the dinning room floor but it was all worth it. Aiden is very proud of the finished product and shows it to anyone that come over to our house. Very cute.

Let's bake some cookies!!

The kids and I went to Michaels the other day and they had all their fall and Halloween stuff on sale. We found this bottle of sprinkles for 20 cents, so we decided to get them and go bake some cookies. Aiden had a blast. He loved putting...or pouring the sprinkles on the cookies. The ones he decorated tasted pretty much just like sprinkles, but the sprinkle free ones turned out pretty good.

Pumpkin Patch!!

We met up with some friends from Chicago who ended up moving about an hour from us to go visit a pumpkin patch. This was the biggest pumpkin patch I have ever seen. There were hundreds of pumpkins everywhere. There was also another really big pumpkin patch just beside this one. The kids had a blast. Aiden loved the hay ride and playing with the pumpkins that were for sale. He wanted to bring all the little ones home. We did end up buying a few little ones and two big ones. One of the big ones will be made into a dessert and the other is for carving.

There was a train ride that Aiden really wanted to ride on, but the line was huge and so we didn't wait for it. He was a little disappointed, but there was no way he was going to be patient enough to wait in line for his turn. Poor kid.

Visiting our sons

October 31st was a really sad day for our family. It has been one year since the passing of our twin sons, Alan and Thiago. It's hard to believe that they are gone from our lives. They stayed very little time with us, but we treasured every minute we got to spend with them.

We went to visit their burial site in Oklahoma. I still have not been able to pick a headstone for their grave, but I am determined to pick something really pretty for them soon.

The funeral home we used put a really nice little plate to mark the site and so we were able to leave them some pretty flowers. We did not take any pictures of it this time, but my sweet aunt Gayle went to visit them a few months ago and she also left them some pretty flowers. She did take some pictures of it and so this is the one I posted here. Our sweet angels in heaven will be forever in our hearts.

Let's give it a shot.

Ok, I have no idea of what I am doing here, but I decided to try to make a blog for our family so that we can keep our family and friends on what is going on with our family. We'll see what happens. I will probably have the most boring blog on this website.
